Boredome is BAD for you

It seems like every time I got bored I just had to take it out on my poor Stampede. As I was sitting in my hobby room one day, bored to tears, I noticed that I had a lot of 2.2 sized tires laying around. EVERYWHERE. And since I had clod-a-fied my stampede, I really wasn't using any of these tires anymore.

Hmmm..a shame not use em on something.

I removed the clod wheels and adapters from my Pede and stuck a set of 2.2 wheels on it. Naaaah..looks way too wimpy. Maybe a set of dualie rear wheels would look cool?

I removed the rear 2.2's, re-installed the clod rims and proceeded to force two 2.2 Proline Mashers on to each clod rim. NOW we're cooking!

Well, that was certainly weird..

Much inspired by the overall weirdness of this set-up, I decided to go one better; DOUBLE dualie. Yanking off the front 2.2's I installed the same clod-rim-dual-masher set-up as I had in the rear.

So how did all of this turn out? Well overall I give the mod a top score of overall weirdness and use of spare tires. However I was less happy with some of the performance aspects, such as turning. It sorta...didn't. Steering servo made lots of interesting noises and you could see the links straining, but those front wheels just kept on pointing in the same direction.

But hey, it looked nice and weird, right?

Our mech was quite fed up with the whole mod....
